A dedicated researcher with numerous indexed publications in areas like microbial bioremediation, biodegradation of plastics/pesticides, and biofuel production, he also actively guides PhD scholars. Dr. Sundaram is committed to academic excellence, evidenced by his multiple NPTEL certifications in advanced biotechniques and his role as a frequent guest lecturer and organizer of national seminars and workshops.

Dr.Eng. Bayu Indrawan is a visionary Indonesian leader in renewable energy and the circular economy, renowned for pioneering sustainable waste-to-energy solutions. As founder of Indonesia's first research center for sustainable waste solutions, the Center of Waste Management Indonesia, he drives the transformation of waste into energy and promotes integrated, technology-driven waste management. With a multidisciplinary background spanning electrical engineering, economics, and environmental science (Dr.Eng. from Tokyo Institute of Technology), Bayu has implemented Indonesia's first commercial-scale municipal solid waste treatment facility using hydrothermal technology and pioneered plastic-to-oil conversion via pyrolysis. A recipient of the U.S. Department of State's International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and the 'Indonesian Inspirational Talent' award, he serves as Indonesia Regional Chair of the Global WtERT Council and was appointed to the Indonesia Higher Education Council in 2025. His work bridges innovation, sustainability, and global collaboration.
